Digital design is
everything related to online social media content. This ranges from event promotion to PSAs to wishing everyone a Happy Mardi Gras.
BRNR
JULY.
I am part of a rotating group of artists creating covers for BRNR (pronounced "burner"), a local zine run by the BRNR Collective. Each issue has a theme which is followed by an event. For July, they threw a rave inspired by old summer horror movies. I shot, edited, and designed the posts to capture the smoothed, yet grainy, and glowing essence of retro horror movie posters.
OCT.
For October, they threw a follow-up event called Camp BRNR 2: Freakshow. I took my collection of photos and created a promotional Instagram flyer. It was the ultimate way to announce that there is a dress code without having to say that.
FEB.
I took the BRNR collective’s vision for an event called “My Bloody Valentine” (heavily inspired by films like Jennifer’s Body). I shot photos to craft a strong character who carries a dangerous mix of allure, attraction, and detachment. These shots served as the background for the event information on music acts, location, and more information any potential attendees should know.
Crescent City Schools
Noticing the playfulness of the students in the photos, I mirrored that energy in the colorful and geometric design of these Instagram flyers announcing open enrollment.
Mercedes-Benz SM
Mardi Gras is important not only to New Orleans, but also to Mercedes Benz of South Mississippi. I put together a carousel post of the parade schedule and highlighting which one they are attending. Despite limitations to a black background as per brand guidelines, it’s possible to make a Benz-approved carnival post.
