Medium: Procreate, Photoshop
This is a movie poster for the Oscar-nominated film, Coraline, using Procreate and Photoshop. I was inspired by the opening credits scene of the Coraline doll being dragged backwards through an open window. I illustrated a still of that scene and integrated the portal tunnel to the Other house to create this scene. To bring it all together, I hand-lettered the title and quote circling around the doll.
The movie title and quote were handwritten to match the handmade claymation presentation of the movie. I layered multiple images on top of each other to create the textured spiral background instead of replicating the exact tunnel. A soft outline of a door frames in Coraline which pushes her forward as the main focal point that is followed by the glowing title. floating above her as if the letters are flying into the tunnel with her.
