I did a thorough playthrough of Emmylou Harris’s 1979 country album Blue Kentucky Girl and read the lyrics to each song. Her grief for a lover that chose to leave was filled with resentment but longing. I set up a photoshoot to translate my personal interpretation of Harris’s album to make a conceptual vinyl front and back cover, inner sleeve, and a poster.
